BioSpain is the largest biotech event, organized by ASEBIO (Asociación Española de Bioempresas), in Europe and one of the largest in the world by the number of one-to-one meetings (2.775) and companies participating (762).

Should be highlighted the international component of the show, being 40% of participants from outside Spain, compared to 28% last year. Biospain 2014, which coincided with the Year of Biotechnology in Spain, had 200 exhibitors and the presence of 50 investors who participated in a forum that analyzed the business plans of 40 companies from various countries.

More than 2,775 business meetings had taken place and more than 2,000 participants attended, numbers that makes Biospain the fourth global event by volume of business development meetings.

Caixa Capital Risc, which was sponsor of the event, actively participated in the event. This event had allowed us to consolidate relations with international venture capital either to share investment opportunities, and to update the status of our portfolio, that includes companies such as Stat Diagnostics, nLife, Genmedica, Sanifit, IMICROQ, Nuubo or Minoryx.
